Written Comprehension: reading
of an authentic text with intermediate degree of grammar and
vocabulary difficulty, followed by a summary and comprehension
questions.
Written Expression: writing of a short letter or essay
on a theme chosen from several suggested subjects.
Grammar: questions about aspects of syntax,
taking into account the contents of a complete basic program.
Oral Comprehension and Expression: presentation of
an oral text followed by a summary, comments and exchange of
ideas on the theme. Evaluation of oral communication in different
situations.

Certificate – Advanced Level / Proficiency
Written Comprehension: reading of an authentic
text with high degree of grammar and vocabulary difficulty,
followed by a summary and comprehension questions.
Written Expression: writing of a letter or
essay on a theme chosen from several suggested subjects.
Grammar: questions about aspects of syntax,
taking into account the contents of an advanced program.
Oral Comprehension and Expression: evaluation
of the student´s oral comprehension through the presentation
of an advanced text, followed by summary, comments and exchange
of ideas on the theme.
Literature: evaluation is based on the compulsory
reading program established for the exam. The student must show
his ability to understand literary texts. Knowledge on literary
theory is not necessary..
Certificates are issued in Portuguese,
English and/or German.
